Al Madenah Al monwwrah

My city is AL madina Al monowwrah . It is a famous city because Prophet Mohammad lived there. It’s historical, it has a big mosque.  It’s in the  west of Saudi Arabia. It’s very beautiful. All Muslim people visit it, they make omra and pray in the mosque . Sometimes it is very crowded, especially during the month of Ramadan. It has a lot of shopping malls and street markets. It has old building.  People there are very kind. There are many famous universities there. It is very modern now. It is very hot  in summer  and very cold in winter.

                                      TOLEDO

Toledo is a small city located in the centre of Spain. It used to be the capital of Spain and it is about 100 km from the actual capital (Madrid). There are two parts of the city – new and old.

The river Tajo and the wall surround the city. A long time ago, different religions (Jews, Muslim and Christian) shared the city, so it is considered a tolerant city. Currently, all monuments are in perfect condition and they can take you back in time.

It is a historic and medieval city and very popular with tourists.

It a very peaceful and traditional place where  you can taste popular Toledan food. It has a famous narrow street and it’s got special charm about it. The cheese and wine is of a very good quality and i is very important.

The most populafestival is “Corps Christian” .

     Valencia is a city on the coast of Spain. It’s smaller than Madrid and Barcelona which are more well-known. The Comunidad Valenciana is composed of three cities - Valencia, Alicante and Castellon.

     There is a harbour where in summer the F1 Championships are held.

The city has two reference towers because in the past it had wall surrounding the city and the towers were the entrances to the city.

There used to be a river but now its use for various activities - walking, running, sports, etc...

The food is well-known in the world. Paella is a typical food made in Valencia.

Valencian oranges are the best ones in the world

Jeddah in Saudi Arabia

Jeddah is on the west coast of Saudi Arabia . It’s second biggest city in Saudi Arabia after the capital city Riyadh. It has seen foreigners come and go for centuries . It’s the first destination for all Muslims when they come to visit the holy cities of Makah and Medina for Haj or Omrah.

It is one of the most industrial cities in the Arab Gulf.

Jeddah is a nice city, it’s near the Red sea and it’s the country’s biggest port .

 I think it’s the most beautiful city in the Arab Gulf.

It is both old-fashioned and modern. There are beautiful sandy beaches.

The weather is very hot and humid in summer. The transportation is easy in Jeddah and cheaper than in any other place in the world.

I like Jeddah, I invite everyone to visit and enjoy it…

Lake District

The Lake District is in the North West of ENGLAND. There are seven lakes in that area and there are many magnificent places. It’s a fantastic place for tourists to go on holiday. It’s near Manchester, about 100 miles or about one hour by train. It’s the biggest lake in that area. In Windermere you can find a lot of activities, for example camp, hire a boot, or go with other tourists on big yachts  and walk in the wood  and admire the fantastic scenery.

Dubai

Dubai is the second biggest city in the U.A.E. I used to live in Dubai. I think it is a nice city because you can do a lot of things there, for example visit shopping malls, stay in extravagant hotels and have dinner in famous restaurants.

Dubai is an industrial city. It has been a famous city for 10 years because it has many new buildings. Now it has the tallest tower in the world called Burj Kalifa.

When I lived in Duba every day I saw a festival, especially in the summer because people working for the government, schools and universities were on holiday.

Every day there is a lot of traffic because the streets are narrow. It’s a noisy city at the weekends but it’s nice if you relax in a café or a restaurant near the towers. The oldest tower in Dubai is called Burj Alarb. Near this tower there are many different things, for example Jumera beach, a tennis stadium and a golf course.

There is a new transport system - metro that was opened four years ago. I think  the metro is an amazing. Dubai is a cosmopolitan city because there are people from different countries live there. Dubai is the hottest city in my country and  it is slightly colder than the capital city. It has many  temples and mosques.

Zell am see

               Zell am see is a small town in the east of Austria. It is the nearest town to Kaprun. It has a spectacular lake. Visitors can hire small boats or they can enjoy a trip on a larger boat. It is close to a beautiful waterfall, called krimml. The visitors can spend a day they will never forget. Also the visitors can visit the Kaprun Mountains to ski, even in summer. It is peaceful town and not polluted at all. It is one of the most romantic places in the world. Anybody can reach Zell am see by plane to Munich or by bus and train. Visitors can also enjoy the following:

Steam train, Maiskogel mountain lift and Vantage car museum.

The river Danob passes through it and visitor can stay for a romantic time. I will never forget Zell am see and I will try to visit it again and again. Finally, don’t forget to ask for the fantastic Zell am see and Kaprun card to get many activities free.

Kulalmbor

Kulalmbor is the capital of Malaysia. I visited it with my family last summer. It’s one of the most famous cities in the world.  It’s crowded especially in summer because it’s a business and tourist destination.

In Kulalmbor  you can find different activates, like shopping, carnivals,

People in general use bicycles or trams. The weather in Kulalmbor is warm but the air is polluted. That is one the big problems in this city.

Most people in the Kulalmbor  are from China .

Yanbu

Many people think about beautiful places to go on holiday.  I think Yanbu is a great holiday destination.

It is on the Red sea in west OF Saudi Arabia and it is about 300 km from Jeddah. Yanbu isn´t A big city, but it is famous for fish .

Yanbu and Jubil are the biggest industrial areas making oil in the world. It is polluted because we have many 

factories.

In Yanbu there is a special carnival for flowers, where people arrange flowers in a beautiful way.

The beach in Yanbu is amazing and sandy. We have a harbour for business boats for people who want to go to Egypt. Shopping in yanbu is not very good but we have three shopping centres. Yanbu it isn’t crowded, this a good place to relax.

I think it´s one of the most beautiful cities in the Middle East because it has a good plan for the future .

Jeddah..

          I think Jeddah is a great, old and big city. There are a lot of cultures because in Jeddah you can find a lot of different people from different countries. The best word to describe Jeddah is ‘cosmopolitan’.

It is an important city because it is near Mecca which is in the middle of the world. It has famous Islamic port of Jeddah and the tallest fountain in the world. You can find a lot of old buildings. There are lovely long turquoise beaches with soft sand. There are many great and interesting places, hotels and spectacular views to visit and enjoy. There are many international restaurants and famous fresh sea food restaurant, shopping malls, great street markets and theme parks, also it is cheap. You can find a lot of fantastic and tall towers near the beach and soon they will build the tallest tower in the world. There is a long beach so you can see the harbour full of boats.

There are special events there, for example carnivals and concerts and different festivals with huge fireworks.    

I live in Jeddah so I know a lot about this city.

My last holiday

I went to Malaysia with my wife 5 months ago. I went there by plane. I stayed in a   very nice hotel for 3 weeks. The weather was fantastic, it rained a little and it was cloudy. We went to the beach and we went on a jet ski. I really liked it but my wife was scared. During the day we walked on the beach and went sightseeing. We saw a famous park and tower. At night we went to a restaurant and went for a walk. We had a good time.

We are going to Barcelona. We are going to get there by plane.  We are going to stay in a beautiful hotel called W Barcelona. 

We are going to Park Guell, a famous park.

We are going to visit Sagrada  Familia, a beautiful church. Spanish people are very nice, we are going to like them. We think we are going to have a great time!

We are going to Makka in Saudi Arabia. We are going to travel by airplane to Makkah for the Umrah. We are going to stay in a hotel. We are going to drink Zamzam water. It is important for Muslims. Masjid Al Haram is the mosque which contains the Kaaba. People walk around the Kaaba. We are going to pray. Muslims from all over the world face the Kaaba when they pray their five daily prayers. We are going to have a good time.

My meals

For breakfast, I always have a sandwich with some cheese and jam or I sometimes have fried eggs with some cheese.

For lunch, I usually have some rice with chicken.

For dinner I sometimes have some pasta.

My favorite food is Indian food and Italian food.

For breakfast I always have orange juice but for dinner and lunch I always have coke.

I do not like Chinese food and Japanese food.

Every week I have fast food.

I like going to a restaurant twice a week.

My Meals

I am Reem. I want to talk about the food I eat. I don't have breakfast at home because I wake up late. I have breakfast at school during my break at eleven o’clock. For breakfast I have a sandwich and orange juice. When lunchtime comes, I normally cook rice, meat and chicken or fish. Sometimes I cook pasta. I eat fruit salad between meals. For dinner I usually eat pizza or chips. My husband always tells me to eat my meals on time, but I do not listen to him. I am not good at eating my meals on time. I always want to eat my meals on time, but I am not good at it. My favourite food at breakfast is Falafel. My favourite food at lunch is Marsa. My favourite food at dinner is Margougue. 

I am going to talk about how to make Marsa. It consists of bananas, bread, sugar, honey and olive oil. You just need to mix them all together and then eat it. You need to go to sleep immediately after because your body will not be able to digest it.

How to make Al Kabsa^_^

            

My favorite food is very popular in Saudi Arabia. It  is called “Al Kabsa”. It consists of rice with chicken or meat. I prefer it with meat. I think it is very easy to prepare. If you want to cook it, you have to put oil in a pot, cut 1 onion, 1 tomato and some chicken. You have to mix the onion, tomato, chicken and rice with hot water. After this, add some salt and spices. Then you wait one hour and it is ready. Some people like it spicy - just add some chili to it. I eat “Al kabsa” almost every day because it is delicious.

I live in a house in Manchester. My house is big and beautiful. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 living rooms. In my living room there is a sofa, a desk, a fireplace, a picture and a T.V. In my kitchen there is a cupboard, a fridge and a cooker. In my bedroom there is a bed, a mirror and a closet. I have a garden. I like it. I do not like my bedrooms because they are very small.

I live in Taif. My house is big and beautiful. There are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and a kitchen. There are two living rooms. In my kitchen there is a dining table, a cooker, a fridge, a clock, a microwave and a kettle. In my bedroom there is a bed, light and a table. We have a big garden and I like it very much.

  I live in a flat in Manchester. It is small but nice. I live on the third floor. In my flat there is one bedroom and a bathroom. In my bedroom there is a bed, a lamp, a desk and a wardrobe. In my kitchen there is a fridge, a cupboard and a cooker. In my living room there is a sofa, a lamp and a carpet. I like it.

My Home Town

I am from Saudi Arabia and I live in Dammam. I live in the east and by the sea. It is a crowded and modern city. It is big - 769,000 people live there. There is a lot to do there – good restaurant and shops. It is close to the sea. I love it.

I come from Saudi Arabia. I live in Riyadh. My home is located in the north region of the city. Riyadh is the capital city of Saudi Arabia. Riyadh is the biggest city in the country. It has a population of 5.254.560 million. Riyadh is a crowded city. There are many cars and trucks in the streets. It takes a very long time to arrive at your destination.




Riyadh city is full of restaurants serving foods from different countries. The most popular foods in my home town are Kabsa and Margougue. 

Saudi Arabia is an Islamic country, so there are many mosques for people to pray. The public transportation includes only taxis and buses. 






The Kingdom and Al-Faisaliah are the tallest towers in Riyadh.
There are many shopping centers in Riyadh. Every shopping center is full of people, especially women. 




There is no cinema in Riyadh. At the weekend families go to the desert. Al Thumama is a popular desert park in Riyadh.

This is my daily routine...

7:00 I get up and make my son’s sandwiches. Then I do some housework. I am always in a hurry and I do not have time for breakfast at home.

8:00 I take a taxi to school.

11:00 I have a sandwich and crisps for breakfast.

1:15 I finish school and I go to pick up my son then we go shopping.

4:00 I cook dinner and I do my homework.

6:00 I watch T.V, I listen to music and I use the computer. I do not go out in the evening because I think it is dangerous.

7:00 I do housework.

11:00 We go to bed.

                                                Rokaia

Jane got on the bus at 9:00 o’clock. Then, she went to the supermarket and bought a lot of delicious food and some other things. Next, she carried the bags and she came back home by bus. After that, she made the cake but unfortunately, she forgot the candles. She returned to the supermarket and bought the candles and put them on the cake when she got home. She was very happy. The guests arrived at 8pm and gave her a special gift. She gave them some cake and drinks. At the end of the party Jane felt tired and went to bed.

Romeo & Juliet

Romeo was totally in love with another girl. He went to party to forget her. When he was there, he saw this beautiful girl, Juliet. They both fell instantly in “love”, but they knew that they are members of families who are fighting, the Montagues and the Capulets. So Romeo and Juliet hatched a plan to fake their deaths and run away! Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding and Romeo thought that Juliet was actually dead, so he killed himself. Juliet had taken a potion to put her in a deep sleep, so when Juliet woke up and found Romeo dead, she killed herself.

My Daily Routine

7:30   I wake up and then I wash my face. Next, I make ablution in order to pray and make Salaat and get dressed.

8:30 I walk to achool. I do not use the bus because I live near the school.

9:00 A lesson begins, I like to study English. Also, I like to express myself in English.

11:00 In the break, I eat a sandwich and drink orange juice for breakfast. I do not eat much because I have a small stomach.

11:20 I start afternoon my lesson.

1:30 I finish my afternoon lesson. After I finish all my lessons, I sometimes go with my friends to the city center.

2:30 I go back home and I cook dinner. After finishing the dinner, 

I clean my house and then I take a shower.

6:30 I do my homework and study English until 9:00.

9:30 I relax and I sometimes talk with my husband when he is not busy.

10:00 I sometimes ask for delivery pizza (my favorite meal) and chips. Then, I watch a movie.

12:00 I go to bed.
